Commission a Pet Portrait
Provide Quality Photos. Abi creates all pet portrait paintings and pastel drawings from photos. Try to take photos of your pet in natural light using the highest resolution setting on your camera.
Choose a Medium. You can choose from two different mediums: acrylic on canvas or pastel on paper. Acrylic paint is a durable, water-based medium that produces a similar effect to oils. Pastels allow for the layering and soft blending of colors. Pastel drawings must be framed behind glass as soon as you receive them.
Choose a Size. Smaller sizes are great for head studies or for smaller pets sitting down. Larger sizes are good for full body studies or for including more than one pet.
Track Your Pet Portrait in Progress. After you approve the initial mockup, you can expect your pet portrait to be completed within 4 to 12 weeks. Shorter deadlines may be possible for special occasions. Abi will email you regular updates of the portrait in progress.
